Not a-one thought was stirring, not even an ounce; The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, In hopes that some nice presents soon would be there;
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
When, what to my glowering eyes should appear?
They sang about such a marvellous birth
They kept on singing about this child,
"Now, dash it! now, darn it, you horrible
vixen!
I turned to my TV all glowing inside,
