Am I Ready?

In August, I signed up for a third and final course at the local college, which would complement two others I'd taken from the same instructor. The course, to run two weekends in October, if ever even offered again, would not be taught by her, as she was moving. She is a top-notch teacher.
In September, I was called about a mid-weekly three-month Bible course I'd been wanting to take for over a year, but which had always conflicted with my other courses. My calendar appeared to be receptive to the Bible course, so I happily took that on. By about the third week, they mentioned a special weekend that we were to attend, a weekend which conflicted with my other course, and which had not been mentioned at the sign-up. That weekend was also my anniversary, and was also a weekend my husband would be home.
I received a call two nights before the special weekend to say that due to an impending strike, the college course was cancelled. This would allow me to attend the special weekend with my Bible classmates, but miss my husband and our anniversary. I prayed that I would be shown what to do, and I decided I would call my Bible class leader at 9 a.m. the next morning.
At 8:30, I was called to say the college course was back on. He had shown me His "lovingkindness in the morning". He had shown me "wherein I should walk".
I can and will take the Bible course again. Had I completed it this time, I most likely wouldn't repeat it, and I believe that is what He wants me to do, that He was telling me to finish up my "worldly" tasks first (the college course) and then I would be ready for Him.
Prayer: Lord, may we ever be open to putting our trust in you to show us the way. May we be confident that in accepting the direction you choose us to take, we will be following in your over-all plan for us. In Your name we pray. Amen.
