Does God Have Mondays Off?

Psalm 121:6-8 - The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm -- he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and for evermore. (NIV)Young and old alike warmly received the local parish priest into their homes for a visit. Not long ago, on a Monday, his normal day off, he dropped into a parishioner's home for a cup of tea and a wee visit. Tessa (not her real name), the family's four-year-old daughter, wanted to show him her latest misfortune. "Father," she said, "Do you want to see the boo-boo?" At the same time she pulled back the colourful dinosaur bandage to show him her finger. He inspected it at some length until he finally found the tiny red mark that was the most likely cause of her needing the bandage. "I got it at the playground," she explained. Father Bill smiled as he regarded the tiny red dot.
Then Tessa looked him straight in the eye and said, "Mommy said if I prayed it would get better, but it's not better yet. Does God have Mondays off?"
I'm happy to say that God doesn't take Mondays off. God is ready to hear our prayers at any time of the day or night.
Prayer: God, we come to You with grateful hearts, knowing that You will hear our prayer on Mondays and every day of the week. Amen.
