No Value Until Activated

I had purchased a gift card for a friend. In doing so, I tore off the strip that is used as a hanger for display purposes, and without thinking, I left it in the car.

Several days later, I rediscovered this strip I had torn off. It read, "No value until activated."

This brought to my mind our lives as Christians. We have no real value until we become activated. We can attend a church and be part of the worship service, but until we receive the free gift of salvation and share our faith with others, we have no real value in God's kingdom.

We all need to become activated.

To do this we must first receive Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Like the gift card I purchased for a friend that had no real value until it was activated, so it is with us in our relationship with God. There is no real value until we accept the gift of His Son Jesus, so that through the power of Holy Spirit we may become activated in sharing our faith.

In doing so, we will have a fuller understanding of every good thing we can have in Christ.

Prayer: Dear Lord, we pray for those whose relationship with You has not been activated, that they will reach out to You to receive the free gift of salvation and become of value to You through Jesus, in Whose name we pray. Amen.
