[Previous Our Readers Respond ] Thanks Parise for sharing these wonderful thoughts. I really Like your devotional from today. Thank you so much for the encouraging Words. Dear Parise, Great message, glad you are back. Parise, Thank you for writing such an encouraging message. Yes, storms come, but Jesus is Lord even of the winds. Blessings. Thank you Parise. May you continue to bless us with your insights. Dear Parise: Thank you for today's Devotional. Blessings on you. Parise, How true that we long for peace during storms and trials. It is definitely reassuring that God will give us the strength we need to make it through any storm that comes our way! Thank you for sharing this with us today. God bless yoiu for such a timely and true message today. Thank you for reminding me that our God never changes and is there in all of our trials. Whatever would we do without the love and strength of our Lord in our every day matters! Great message and reminder. Thank you for being the vessel that GOD uses to convey HIS message to us. May GOD'S blessings rain down on you and yours! (Texas) Dear Friend, Thanks for yet another lovely Devotion. That was some Storm experience you had, never dreamed it was so bad in So. Cal. The music was lovely, how do they do that?? Our love to you and thanks again. Excellent message Parise! We surely need that Holy Spirit power when we are going through it. Amen! Praise be to God. He is there when the waves get too high for us to handle. I'm wondering if the birth rate went up in you area following the storm, Ha! Ha! Blessings. Dear Parise, Reflecting on your devotional, I found the irony quite fascinating - the wind, a symbol of turmoil also represents the Holy Spirit who comforts, protects and gives us peace. Your message also reminded me of Jesus' words in John 3:8: "The wind blows wherever it pleases but you cannot tell where it comes or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." Although we cannot control the wind in our lives, we can sure trust the Holy Spirit to guide us to safety. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this thought provoking, uplifting message. Good Afternoon Parise: You have penned another wonderful devotional assuring us the Lord will give us the strength and courage to overcome the adversities presented to us in life when we give our trials and heartaches to Him. I guess the disciples, who were in the boat with the Lord when the storm erupted, like many of us, did not have their heavy-duty spiritual battery charged and became anxious, dismayed and almost hysterical when the waters became rough and unorganized and life seemed to be hanging by a thread. However the Master knowing all things, soon challenged their faith and made all things calm and serene again. Amazing, He loved them in spite of their lack of faith. This was a great message, one that gives many avenues to consider, actually several devotionals in one. Great work. Re: Our Imperishable Inheritance by Bruce McCowan, Friday, February 3, 2012
