[Previous Our Readers Respond ] Looks good. Thanks Harriette for the wonderful challenge. Very nicely written and such a joyous message to start the day! Thank you. Loved your devotional! It lifted my spirits immediately. Thank you for it. Thank you for a good reminder! Smiling is a simple way to spread cheer and God’s love. Dear Harriette, That’s a big: Amen sister! Dear Harriet: I needed that Devotional this morning as my day has not started out well. Thank you. What a delightful message! I would like to use this for a Sunday morning Children's Message during our worship service, with your permission. As one Southern lady to another: A smile is always welcome and a friendly word received down South in Georgia. (South Georgia) Thank-you Harriette for this lovely thought. Yes, a smile can be so welcoming, and most enjoyable when one smiles back. Blessings on your day. Harriette, this is a very good remindr for me and others to try and do always. And if others don't wave back, I need to always remember not to let it affect my attitude and just keep smiling, someone will come along and give me a wounderful smile soon. This is awesome. Thank you. Good day to you. Just wanted to tell you that in Trinidad where I live its the same around areas where I work and live but I always do my Christian duty and extend a greeting and a smile. I rarely do get it back but I feel happy throughout my day. So keep up your inspirational devotion and may God bless you richly. (Trinidad) Hi Harrietta, I feel blessed that I live in a community Where everybody waves, and are insulted if one doesn't. Keep waving and Lord bless you and others as you do. Thanks, Harriette. Smiling has always come easy to me and I think that is in part because of the confidence and faith I have in the Lord. In fact, one person in our church told me that my smile was one of our church's strong points. This message is not to brag but to reinforce your message of this morning. (Texas) This is so true. Living in a small community when you are in town or walking in your neighbourhood you are always nodding, smiling, speaking to adults, dogs, children whether you know them or not. When my daughter went to Toronto, she would walk to work and speak or nod to the people there, but to her consternation no one reciprocated. There isn't a day go by in smaller communities that you don't have some form of communication with people you don't know. What a wonderful feeling!!! You know the old saying about the number of muscles to frown is far greater than those that we use to smile. Enjoy your day.
