I'm so grateful yo have met you through God and this sght. May God continue to bless you and my prayers are to God for you. Beautiful devotional.....beautiful, indeed....! ! ! Than you for being GOD'S vessel to communicate HIS message this day... (Texas) Dear Iris: Thank you so much for yourDevotional this morning. Press on to bigger and greater things for our Lord. Dear Iris, I find that my God of my youth has been too small. With the advent of the latest technology the universe is so much bigger than we realised when we were young. God is soo much bigger and greater than time and space. Now we can only see as far as the speed of light will allow us, back to near 500 mil the advent of the “Big Bang”, we can see galaxies as far away as the other side of the known universe! We will never know more in our lifetime. What we do know is hard enough to comprehend anyway because the numbers are extreme. There is nothing like the clear night sky for generating a sense of wonder about our God! Good thought. Re: Respecting Authority by Martin Wiles, Sunday, January 29, 2012 Blessed reminder! Thank you! We pray for our country and the world. I'm thankful God is in control. Solid wisdom and so appreciated. Re: The Swan Pond by John Stuart, Saturday, January 28, 2012
Dear John,
Dear John, Totally agree, with what you say, (viz: widows mite). To say we cannot out-give God is to misunderstand the terms of the gift in the first instance! However, my personal experience is that I have overall - never managed to get to a level where I can out-give God despite the sum. That is not to say that I have not had several sleepless/troubled nights worrying about what to do when, I haven't had the cash. I do deliberately try to distance myself from trying to equate what I have been financially given from what may come in over and above my normal giving. It is just that in hindsight I have found this to be true. God is no man’s debtor. I believe this does not find an end in mammon/finance either, according to God’s purposes for us and what He has called us to do. Everything we have comes from God, so we have no argument to start with, and this does not stop people being poor or dying! We can only meet the need where we are and when we have our eyes opened to the part we can play. It is just that if He chooses to remove from us then who are we to argue, apart from in our humanity, we can do is get down on our knees and ask for a blessing/instruction to replace our present situation. Blessings. Still learning not to sweat the small stuff! Re: Downsizing by June Heale, Friday, January 27, 2012
